Accord Wagon
How much madness would I have to go through to fit a Mazda 20B engine into a 92' Honda Accord Wagon?

A project my dad and I are working on. We already have the car, and we got lucky and salvaged a 20B from a scrap yard which we are rebuilding. We've already planned for the car to be RWD, A Miata rear with some work done to it should do the trick. But what we're cringing about is how big of a shoe horn do we need to squeeze the 20B in length wise.

Has anyone had any experience with this?

You will more then likely not find any one who has done this trick yet. 20b engines are not that easy to find, and are most often swapped into something closer to the car family then a Honda Accord Wagon.
If you don't have to use the rear seats, there are plates to adapt this engine to a old VW bug transmission that is a "Freeway Flier" (if I remember the term right). These transmissions have the ring gear swapped to the opposite side so the transmission can be used for a Mid-ship set up. Then the shifter is set up like a formula "Vee".
The entire engine transmission sub-frame would need to be constructed along with the rear suspension members.
Of course servicing the engine my be a b!tch.

Thanks for looking at our Accord Wagon information.
