Bridging Amp - Sound Difference?
Howdy. I am running two Kicker 07C104 subs in a sealed box with ~1.2ft3 each, powered by an MTX TA5302. Last night I very excitedly unboxed a mint Old School Punch 150 for a little test and tune. First I hooked them up stereo, each to their own channel. This is how I had them wired on the MTX. As I expected, they hit a bit harder. Whoop for underrated Old School amps. 
I decided to next wire it bridged with just one sub, not changing the gain or any settings. But when I did so, I noticed something strange. The sub seemed to hit harder, but the sound was weaker. It had more thump, persay, but there was less definition and overall volume. In stereo mode it had a wonderfully full sound.
Has anyone else experienced this before? I would have imagined that 300x1 would be louder than 75x2. I noticed the same thing a few months before when I did the same experiment with the MTX.
honestly I have been taught from years ago that subs run MONO signal only. not stereo. it revents damage to the sub. but that's like from the mid to late 90's. most amps now have mono converters in them.
